But Hugh Hefner, or as the Playboy bunnies call him, "Hef," wasn't always the libidinous ladies man he's now known to be. The 87-year-old has mastered Twitter and Instagram -- and he apparently has a penchant for nostalgia, judging by the vintage pictures he's been posting. We've learned so much about him. Behold:

Did you know Hef served in the army for two years at the end of World War II?
And he fell in love with and married his college sweetheart, Mildred Williams.
Before the silk robes and velvet slippers, Hef donned Christmas sweaters.
He may have been kind of a mama's boy.
Here he is today with his wife, Crystal Harris. Whether you love him or loathe him, you have to admit, he hasn't let age slow him down.
