Despite initially saying he had trepidations about the plan, new "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon has taken up Rahm Emanuel on his Polar Plunge challenge.
Fallon tweeted Monday morning that he will join the Chicago mayor in the Polar Plunge in return for Emanuel appearing on the "Tonight Show" at a later date.
Fallon had formal attire in mind for the Polar Plunge, which takes place Sunday at the city's North Avenue Beach and benefits the Special Olympics, but the mayor urged the NBC host to rethink his wardrobe.
Based on Fallon's previous comments on the mayor -- he told the Sun-Times he's "scared of that guy" -- we're guessing Fallon will don something more along these lines instead:
Last year's Chicago Polar Plunge attracted over 2,300 participants and raised almost $800,000 in funding for the Special Olympics.

Chicago - I'm wearing a suit and tie for the #PolarPlunge. Show solidarity by wearing a necktie. (I'm not telling you what else to wear.)

Excited to have you @JimmyFallon! A little advice from a city that knows how to handle winter: leave the suit at home. #RahmsReaders
