On Sunday night, March 2, Matthew McConaughey was picking up his first Oscar. But nearly 30 years ago, he was just another high schooler going to prom.
After McConaughey snagged the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club," the niece of the actor's high school prom date decided to post a classic throwback photo. Leah Pickett, a contributor to the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Dot, tweeted a photo of her aunt with McConaughey from their Longview High School days.
Not much has changed for the hunky Texas native, who was voted the school's "Most Handsome Student."
