Dennis Hastert Pleads Not Guilty

Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) pleaded not guilty to two charges on Tuesday, including one count of evading bank regulations and one count of lying to the FBI.

Hastert was indicted in May, when it was revealed he had agreed to pay $3.5 milllion in hush money to keep a person silent about "prior misconduct" that may have taken place while Hastert was a teacher at an Illinois high school.
