Use of Ventra cards on Chicago Transit Authority buses is still not up to snuff, although “dramatic progress” has been made at rail stations with the new fare payment system, CTA President Forrest Claypool said Wednesday.
More than three months into Ventra’s rollout, Claypool said he would “not want to speculate” on when the CTA will dump its old fare payment system and rely solely on Ventra.
