The Surprising Evolution Of Money, In Just Five Minutes (VIDEO)

Today we know money as coins, bills, and credit cards. But it wasn't always this way.



Over the centuries, money took many bizarre forms--from sea shells to cakes of salt to even giant stone discs, which date back some several hundred years on the island of Yap.



Makes you wonder: What exactly makes something money? What was money like in ancient times, and how did it evolve? As we enter a new digital age, where is it headed?
