Do you enjoy walking through dimly lit hallways splattered with blood and shrouded in fog, never knowing what's lurking around the corner or in the shadows?

Then you're probably very excited it's October and that haunted houses are back.

With the help of Illinois Haunted Houses and some scouring of the web, we've compiled a list of 56 haunted houses in Illinois. Some of them are kid-friendly, others definitely are not, so be sure to check before you go.
