It turns out Amazon isn't the only online retailer hard at work developing innovative (albeit "scary," to some) new delivery technologies.
That said, the delivery service Chicago-based deals website Groupon says it is cooking up for 2014 isn't exactly new.
In a video posted Tuesday, the website announced its new catapult delivery system.
"The technology, it's proven, it's tested. We're talking about principles of package delivery that have been around since the time of King Arthur," Everett Weiss says in the (yes, satirical) video. "Look, that guy knew something about keeping precious cargo safe."
"Look, what Groupon is about is great deals, great service and medieval catapults," Weiss continues.
