In These States, Weddings Cost More Than Half Of The Average Resident's Yearly Income

According to the Wedding Report, a compilation of statistics and market research for the wedding industry, couples spent an average of $25,200 on their weddings last year. That's about half of the median household income in the U.S., per the latest available data.



The chart below details how much of their paychecks residents would have to cough up in order to afford a wedding in their home states. It begs the question: should couples be promising "til debt do us part"?
