Chance The Rapper Was Interviewed By Nardwuar And The Result Is Sort Of Awkward, Amazing (VIDEO)

Canadian celebrity interviewer Nardwuar the Human Serviette is well known for his usually hilarious, sometimes weirdly tense interviews with musicians and other celebrities and Chicago's own Chance The Rapper recently took his turn at "rockin' in the free world."

The perpetually well-researched Nardwuar's style seemed to throw off Chance, whose "Acid Rap" mix tape has been landing on many year-end "best of 2013" lists and also earned the MC SPIN's "Rapper of the Year" seal earlier this month.

"Who do you call, like, when you do these interviews?" Chance asked after Nardwuar asked him a question concerning a "girl he liked in fourth grade." "Do you call around peoples' families and stuff and ask them questions?"

"You're Chance the Rapper and we have to know!"

Meanwhile, Chance also made an appearance this week on the Arsenio Hall Show, his first late-night television appearance. In addition to performing "Chain Smoker," Chance spoke on the city's music scene and violence and, unlike a certain other Chicago rapper, called for peace on the city's streets.

"I'm hoping that the gun-related death toll continues to lower," Chance said. "There's a positivity that's starting to grow in Chicago and I think if we can keep it going… Stop worrying about cliques and gangs, all of it."
